Born in 1972, award-winning and best-selling author Turtle Bunbury was raised at Lisnavagh House, County Carlow, Ireland. Surrounded by family portraits and memorabilia, Turtle showed a keen interest in history from an early age. He was educated at Glenalmond College in the Scottish Highlands, and at Trinity College Dublin, where he completed a degree in modern history.

In addition to private commissions, Turtle’s recent publications include ‘Vanishing Ireland – Further Chronicles of a Disappearing World’ and ‘Dublin Docklands – An Urban Voyage’.

Turtle has traveled the world extensively with his writing, contributing to world famous magazines and newspapers including Vogue Living, The New York Post, The Guardian, The Irish Times, The Financial Times, The South China Morning Post, The Australian, House & Garden and NWA World Traveler.

Turtle is based in County Carlow with his wife Ally and young daughters Jemima and Bay.
